Mole Checking Service
Our mole checking service gives you fast access to a UK consultant dermatologist’s opinion using high-quality dermoscopic images captured in-clinic and securely reviewed via Map My Mole. You’ll receive a clear report with reassurance, advice to monitor, or a recommendation for referral - typically within 24-48 hours (usually under 72 hours).
We use a medical-grade smartphone dermoscope (Class I device) to obtain detailed images that meet British Association of Dermatologists teledermatology guidance, helping experts spot subtle irregularities. It’s quick, non-invasive and designed to catch changes early so you can act promptly if needed.

What it treats
New or changing moles/skin lesions; concerns about size, shape, colour or symptoms (itching, bleeding, crusting); baseline checks for people with many moles or higher risk.
How it works
We capture close-up & dermoscopic images in-clinic and upload them securely to Map My Mole for UK consultant dermatologist review; you get a report (reassure/monitor/refer) typically within 24-48 hours.
Who it’s for / contraindications
Adults wanting expert assessment of specific moles or lesions. Not for urgent concerns - if rapidly changing, bleeding, very dark/irregular, or you feel unwell, seek urgent GP/dermatology care.
Risks & side-effects
Non-invasive with minimal physical risk. Small risk of false reassurance - return for re-assessment or in-person review if a lesion changes.
Downtime & aftercare
None. Follow your report, use daily SPF 30+, perform regular self-checks, and return if anything changes; we’ll help arrange referrals if advised.
When you’ll likely see results
Report usually within 24-48 hours (generally under 72 hours from image capture).
