What is Dermaplaning and why do people choose it?

Dermaplaning is a hands-on exfoliating facial for people who want instantly smoother, brighter-looking skin and softer makeup application.

Using a fine, sterile blade, your therapist gently glides over the surface to remove dead skin build-up and “peach fuzz” hairs, revealing a fresher, more even canvas. It feels more like light scraping than anything sharp, and is usually paired with comforting masks and serums, so the treatment still feels relaxing and spa-like.

Many clients love the way foundation glides on afterwards and how their complexion looks more polished in natural light. We’ll check your skin and hair growth patterns to confirm suitability.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a gentle, manual exfoliation that removes built-up surface cells and fine “peach-fuzz” hairs in one pass for immediately smoother, brighter skin and better product absorption.

It’s a great pre-event glow-getter and enhances makeup glide without altering hair thickness or colour.

We use sterile, single-use blades and avoid areas with active breakouts. Many clients combine dermaplaning with a mild peel or Dermalux LED for extra radiance. Downtime is minimal - some pinkness can occur and settles quickly. We’ll advise on aftercare and when to restart actives. Maintenance is typically every 4 - 6 weeks.
