What is laser hair removal and who is it for?

Cynosure laser hair removal is for anyone tired of shaving, waxing, or dealing with ingrown hairs on areas like the legs, underarms, bikini line, or face.

Using medical-grade laser technology, we target pigment within the hair follicle to reduce regrowth over a series of sessions. At The London Road Clinic, your practitioner will assess your skin and hair type, review your medical history, and carry out a patch test before we begin.

Appointments are usually quick. You’ll feel a warm, flicking sensation, and most people return to normal plans straight away. A course is needed for best results, and outcomes vary depending on the area treated, hormones, and hair type.

Cynosure Elite+ Laser Hair & Vein Removal

Cynosure Elite+ uses two laser wavelengths, Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm), to treat unwanted hair across a broad range of skin tones. It can also be used for selected superficial vascular concerns, such as fine facial vessels, where appropriate.

Sessions are efficient with minimal downtime. Temporary redness or small bumps around the follicles are common and usually settle quickly.

Because hair grows in cycles, a course is needed for meaningful reduction. We tailor settings to your skin tone, hair type, and treatment area to prioritise safety and results, and we’ll guide you on sun avoidance and daily SPF. For vascular concerns, we’ll advise on suitability, realistic outcomes, and the likelihood of maintenance over time.
