What is laser hair removal and who is it for?

Cynosure laser hair removal is for people who are fed up with constant shaving, waxing or ingrown hairs on areas such as legs, underarms, bikini line or face.

Using medical-grade laser technology, we target the pigment in hair follicles to reduce future growth over a series of sessions. At The London Road Clinic, your practitioner assesses your skin and hair type, checks medical history and performs a patch test before treatment.

Sessions are relatively quick, with a warm, flicking sensation, and most people can return to normal activities straight away. Multiple sessions are required and results vary by area, hormones and hair type.

Cynosure Elite+ Laser Hair & Vein Removal

Cynosure Elite+ platform combines Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) wavelengths to treat unwanted hair effectively across a broad range of skin types and to target selected superficial vascular concerns. Sessions are efficient with minimal downtime; transient redness or follicular swelling is common and usually settles quickly.

Because hair grows in cycles, a course is required for meaningful reduction. We tailor settings to your skin tone, hair characteristics and treatment area to prioritise safety and results, and we’ll guide you on sun avoidance and SPF. For vascular work we select parameters suited to fine facial vessels and advise on realistic outcomes and maintenance.
