Cryotherapy Skin Tag & Lesion Removal: how it works
Cryotherapy delivers a controlled burst of extreme cold to freeze selected benign skin lesions. The treated tissue then dries and naturally sheds over days to weeks as the surrounding skin heals. At The London Road Clinic, it is carried out by Jaz Martin or Laura Baneviciute, Senior Aesthetic Practitioners, who assess the lesion first to confirm it suits cryotherapy. Freezing can leave lighter skin and suits fair skin best. Anything suspicious is referred for medical review rather than treated. Lesions that need cutting out, shaving or cautery are removed by Dr Shahe Boghossian instead.

- Adults bothered by suitable benign lesions such as skin tags, warts or verrucae, seborrhoeic keratoses and cherry angiomas, once a practitioner confirms they suit cryotherapy.
Not suitable for
- Suspicious or diagnostically uncertain lesions are not appropriate for routine cosmetic cryotherapy and should be referred for medical assessment first.

Aftercare
Keep the area clean and protected, avoid picking as the tissue dries and sheds, and follow the clinic’s wound-care advice until healing is complete.
A single appointment for most lesions
The clinic is at 65 London Road, Newark-on-Trent, NG24 1RZ, with free parking at the front.
Suitable lesions are usually treated in one session, with a review if the lesion needs a second. There is no course, so this is one trip and a short one.
We see patients from Balderton, Farndon, Collingham, Southwell, Bingham and Ollerton, and from Lincoln, Grantham and Sleaford. Several lesions can often be dealt with in the same appointment, which is worth mentioning when you book so enough time is set aside.
The treated area scabs and lifts over the following days. Keep it dry, leave it alone, and let it come away on its own.
