How Hydra-Tight works

Hydra-Tight runs two stages in one appointment. The Hydra-Facial goes first: deep cleansing, light exfoliation, gentle vortex extraction and hydrating serums. Forma radiofrequency follows, delivering controlled heat into the skin to stimulate collagen production over time. The heat is managed for comfort and the temperature is monitored throughout. The firming effect is deliberately gradual and modest, building across a series of sessions. It is not an alternative to a surgical lift and it is not presented as one.

Suitable for

Not suitable for

Radiofrequency is not appropriate for everyone. Pregnancy, a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, and metal implants in the treatment area all need to be discussed before treatment. Tell your clinician about these at consultation.

There is no downtime. Keep skincare gentle, use SPF daily, and follow your clinician's advice if you are combining this with other treatments.

What the appointment involves

Two stages over 90 minutes.

The Hydra-Facial goes first. Deep cleansing, light exfoliation, gentle extraction and hydrating serums, which is where the immediate result comes from.

Forma radiofrequency follows. Controlled heat into the skin, held at a steady temperature, stimulating collagen production. It is the same device and the same approach as a standalone Forma radiofrequency session, taking the lower face, jawline and neck.

Be realistic about the firming

The facial part works on the day. The radiofrequency part does not, and any clinic telling you otherwise is selling rather than treating. Collagen responds to heat over weeks, which is why Forma is normally taken as a weekly series. One Hydra-Tight leaves you clean, hydrated and slightly firmer. A course is what moves laxity.

That is worth knowing before you book, because it changes what the £270 is buying.

Frequently asked about Hydra-Tight

What is the difference between Hydra-Tight and a Hydra-Facial?

A Hydra-Facial cleans, exfoliates and hydrates. It does nothing for firmness. Hydra-Tight adds Forma radiofrequency, which warms the deeper skin to stimulate collagen over time. If laxity is not one of your concerns, the facial on its own is the right booking and costs less.

Will one session tighten my skin?

One session leaves the skin clean, hydrated and softly firmer, but the tightening effect of radiofrequency is cumulative. Visible firming comes from a series, usually taken weekly. Your clinician will set out how many sessions your skin is likely to need before you book anything.

Is this an alternative to a facelift?

No. Forma radiofrequency produces gradual, modest firming on mild laxity. It does not lift or remove tissue and it will not achieve a surgical result. Where laxity is more advanced, your clinician will tell you plainly that this is not the right treatment rather than sell you a course of it.

Does the radiofrequency stage hurt?

No. Most people describe it as sustained warmth, comparable to a hot stone moving across the skin. The handpiece monitors temperature throughout and your clinician adjusts it to stay comfortable. Tell them if it feels too warm at any point and it is turned down.

Is there any downtime?
